| | I have not posted anything here in so long. With all the social networking sites out there, I wonder how LJ has been faring. Well If anybody still reads this thing, I am finally going back to school! I start September 8th. Man, I am so nervous. | comments: 10 comments or Leave a comment |
| Hello folks. Just wishing everyone happy holidays. I hope all of you will have a great time. I don't have big plans this year, except for hosting something for new years and meeting up with friends for Christmas. I usually see my folks, but I wanted to stay in Toronto with my boyfriend this year. It is the time to think about new year year resolutions and although I always thought that concept to being a little dumb, this year I am feeling compelled to use it as an excuse to make some changes in my lifestyle. We'll see how that goes.
And on another note... Left4Dead is an awesome game. My steam ID is ashbearfox in case any of you wanna hit me up on steam and maybe play a game or two. Merry Christmas or... whatever else you celebrate! | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| Well! For us Canucks, thanksgiving was yesterday, 13th of October. I had nothing planned so I decided to try to cook for more people than I am used to. Beside the traditional Turkey, I made a tourtière (it's like a meat pie, maple glazed veggies, gravy, while my roomy Branwyn worked on the mashed potatoes, pierogi, pies for deserts. I had Bastion coming over with some really nice tarts, pumpkin pie and a couple of Ham. I feel like I am forgetting something.
apart from the household which is me, KhakiWolf, my boyfriend Matt, and Branwyn, we had Zealand, Bastion, Alex and Breve over. After being adequately stuffed, we finished the evening with a couple of white wines, streaming music and a long game of apples to apples. I rarely play host, and I am pretty darn happy it turned out well. Thanks to all who came! | comments: Leave a comment |
| | I just arrived from London, where I participated in a furry event, which consisted on baking a desert. It was pretty fun I must admit. Stitch hosted the event and I thank him, and it was a long drive, but worth it. I made baklava which turned out well. We also watched the Stephen Chow film, the god of cookery. It was pretty funny I must admit. Thanks for Branwyn for driving us there. And now, good night! :) | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| First of, I would like to invite you all to visit Mister Malone
Listen to a few tracks if you have the patience. What I like about this music is simply the care that it went into it. This was an independent project done by Gilberto Costa and later joined by Miguel Cordeiro and Rita Castro on Vocals. The whole recording is home made. I haven't heard a combination of jazz, noise, triphop and glitch drums that interesting in a while.
Hope you like... and in other words, I saw Sweeny Todd, and I think I post my review of it later on. I also been trying to play more with Photoshop, getting more into art since I will need to get my portfolio ready for my interview with Seneca college for the animation program leading into game design. I know a girl who went through it, so she has been keeping me posted on the whole process. Exciting!
I miss alot of the locals here... I need to make myself more interesting and go out more. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| | Ok well, I had kind of a scare recently. The weekend of 2 weeks ago, I felt a pain in my chest, accompanied with dizziness, tiredness, and a bit of a trouble breathing. It of course scared the living shit out of me, so I went to see a doctor. My blood pressure was through the roof, and my heart wasn't working like it should. So they sent me for blood, urine tests as well as an ECG. What they found is a possible form of cardiac ischemia. Apparently there is a lack of blood flow to my heart, but more of an irregularity than a constant problem, which is good. In any case, my doctor ordered me to change some habits and reduce my stress if I didn't want to die of heart attack before I hit 30. I mean.. what the hell, i am 27 years old. Anyway, I reduced my stress level, made huge changes to my eating habits, started exercising a bit... Went back 2 weeks later to find out my pressure is almost normal, no more chest pain and I lost 14 pounds. The heart condition is still there, but I have to do in for a cardiac test to monitor my heart during physical activity. So we'll see what happens. I love fitting in me tight shirts again :) *Flex* | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |
| | Oh noes! I am older. So I turned 27 years old today. Officially, I became that old at 11:45 and seconds. I was planning to have people over tomorrow, but I am not lucky this year. Most people I usually hang out with are busy. Hey, nothing stops me from partying some other day. Woot! | comments: 11 comments or Leave a comment |
| | I am turning 27 on Thursday. Hmm... I wonder if I wanna do anything special. I haven't called anyone... bah. If you are local to me, and you wanna hang out on Friday, let me know! I could maybe have peeps over. I feel like getting smashed. Otherwise, who knows what I will do. Maybe I will run around naked... or maybe drink... while running around naked? So many choices... Anyway! We'll see. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| Ok! What the hell... I decided to go back to school. Odd eh? Well here me out. So I was like... around 19 years old and in college when I met the "love of my live" and decided to drop out, move to New Jersey (I know... wtf) to be with him. LONG story short... bad mistake. Sure you can say that no experiences go to waste, but that one was still pretty dumb. However, what I do not regret is the time I spend with my ex. He was a sweety to me, treated me like a king. The only part I regret is the fact I dropped out of school.
So I move to Toronto shortly thereafter in 2002, find work... 5 years later, I realized that I am going no where without a degree. So instead of feeling stuck, depressed and working in jobs I keep hating one after the other, I decided to have the courage to say enough. So I am enrolling for a graphic design program (It's a huge program, everything from Video imaging, digital imaging, design, concept...) for September 2008. Already started saving money. So there! Now on with the good stuff.
I drew porn! Here is the link, it's not work safe hence why it's behind a LJ cut.

| Honestly I have no idea if I am still being read on here. I might just keep it to my fur affinity account. Which by the way contains my new art pieces! Although I haven't been drawing very much lately... but I have been learning to drum! That's right! I will soon becoming a rocking bearfox, form a band and become a superstar! ... >_<
Another thing I have been doing is being more active with my digital camera. I kinda like photography, but I never really took it seriously. So here are some good moments I capture on camera.

| Went to hulla last night, it was fantastic. For those of you who do not know what Hulla is, go to www.hulla.info
The rave was pretty awesome. I dance from 10pm to 3am. I am so sore it feels awesome :D In a nutshell, Hullabaloo started in 1997, it was one of the pioneers of the Happy hardcore rave scene in Ontario... heck even in North America in the time. All good things come to an end, and last night was the farewell party. I took some videos, but it was a camera phone so the quality is bleh. In any case, if you are curious, here they are. The one that is shaky, it gets more stable near the end. So sorry. A bunch of furs were there which was pretty awesome.

| And yes when I say London, I mean London, Ontario. I went there with branwyn and Matt, for Canada day and other frivolities. Well it was pretty fun. We first ended up going to Guelph on Saturday to meet up with miami_pony , dark_paws4life and cyberwuff . We watched some movies, played games and I was introduced to this board game called Carcassonne. It was pretty cool actually.
We left early on Sunday for London where we met up with madiushrat and suryastra at their place to relax, chill and enjoy their company before a party held at Frost's place. I must say it was very nice to see Madius again, and I had the chance to meet Tron for the first time. Tron is certainly one of a kind, but in a good way. I look forward seeing him again sometimes.
I almost didn't know anyone at the part we went to, which made it very refreshing. Everyone was really nice to talk to. At the risk to sound mean, I don't care much for crowds, and meeting new people can sometimes go VERY badly in the fandom. This was awesome, and there was much alcohol consumption which, for the first time in a long time, made me feel like crap in the morning. Well the 3 hours of sleep might have had something to do with it as well.
Ok! Now I did some quick sketches for some people. There are alot more to come but I thought I posting them here as well. Again those are just quick sketches part of a "post a comment and I will sketch for free" thing on fur affinity. So I don't spend much time on them, like 20 minutes or so. Anyway here they are.
( Not safe for work ) And now for something completely different.

| Sure its not a movie everyone will enjoy. The main issue I think is its R rating and the fact its a 3 hour long feature. Technically it is two features into one I know. I won't go into details, but the contrast in between the two movies, and placing them back to back makes the enjoyment of Grindhouse an easy thing to achieve. You can easily see and feel the personal style of both director's which keeps reminding you why you decided to come and see the movie in the first place. Any fan of those two really ought to go see Grindhouse, period.
Other than that... for anyone who still reads my live journal... I am well! And I am "trying" to draw more. Work has been a bitch and the OT has kept me busy. I also been busy with FFXII. Oh! Here is my Wii code :)

Feel free to give me yours so we can exchange our Mii :) That sounds rather dirty for some odd reason.
An now on to the useless animal facts of the day!
-Crocodiles never outgrow the pool in which they live. That means if you put a baby croc in an aquarium, it would be little for the rest of its life. - Border collies are the most intelligent breed of dog. - A ducks quack doesn’t echo and no one knows why. - When possums are playing possum, the are not really playing. They actually pass out from sheer terror.
And soon! More porn :D | comments: 12 comments or Leave a comment |
